Our crew work hard to make Powershop the best power company ever. We supply power to all kinds of homes and businesses in New Zealand. Powershop sprung to life in 2009, backed by Meridian Energy. We focused on making shopping for electricity easy and enjoyable, and created the tools people need to understand how much power they use, giving them the control to lower their bills. It worked. Worst ever choice of power....just wait 12 months after the promotion they gave you. Then its time to be bent over and taken to the garbage

I was with them over 2 years, first year it was ok good price and discount, I though this will automatically roll over to the loyal customers like me who pays bill in full onetime but no they were charging me over price no discounts give over a year they literally screwed me approx. $80 a month extra, I have given approx. $5K a year business hence I switched to someone better than these people.

I have been with Powershop for a number of years and moved friends and family across to this company because they have an incentive plan to do so. Powershop is owned by Meridian Energy so I am pleased to support their "Clean, Green Energy" ethos. Their easy-to-use website and mobile app is first class. I can view my usage daily, buy power packs in advance to reduce my monthly bill and enter my own smart meter readings or check the weekly Powershop readings to make sure they are correct. Their prompt payment discount brings my bill down even further. I have a rental property and Powershop keep power connected for my future tenants - only billing from the "move-in date" and sending them a separate bill during their tenancy. Fuss-free and easy! Fabulous customer service, always helpful and friendly.
The Powershop website shows your power owing in a clear, calendar-type format and you can pay for power usage at any time during the month online, or in cash at the Post office. ...read more
